Larissa joined ARTIS in 2011 and worked as a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellow at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy with Professor Axelrod from 2011 – 2013. Before joining ARTIS and the University of Michigan, Larissa worked as a visiting research fellow at the U.S. Naval War College where she focused on soft power and the Navy’s role in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. She has presented her research on foreign policy, national security, diplomacy, conflict resolution, and media studies at conferences such as the Annual Conference of the ISSS/ISAC and the Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Political Science Association and has published a Newport paper (http://www.usnwc.edu/Publications/Naval-War-College-Press/Newport-Papers.aspx) and several articles. She is currently working as a research fellow for the Swiss Department of Defense. She holds a MA (2008) and a PHD (2011) in political science from the University of Zurich.
